The Affordability Quest – Housing Variety and Non-Market Solutions
This housing focused presentation and discussion will explore the inequities in the housing market and options for addressing housing variety and affordability. The session will go beyond the standard approaches and explore bold new ways to approach the affordability crisis. The session will also be interactive and will provide opportunities for participants to share ideas and solutions.

Cleo Corbett is a dynamic speaker who prides herself on creative policy development and action-based planning. Corbett is passionate about housing and has 18 years experience that encompasses all aspects of planning including development, long-range and social. She is currently is the Senior Planner with the City of Campbell River focusing on housing, homelessness and anything else they throw at her. Cleo balances a busy career and family life with tennis, skiing and rock and roll.

Prior to the presentation, the Zoom link will be active at 11:30 am for anyone who is interested in an informal “check-in” with other local planners in attendance. This is meant to be a way to connect with colleagues and meet new planners in the area through the form of a virtual pre-presentation mingling session.
