Tim Savoie RPP, MCIP, is presently the Director of Planning and Development Services, Engineering and Operations at the City of Port Moody. He is currently serving on the Planning Institute of British Columbia Council and is the Chair of the Professional Practice Review Committee. Mr. Savoie has practiced planning in a number of BC municipalities since graduating with a Master’s degree in 1994 from the University of British Columbia’s School of Community and Regional Planning. In addition to working in British Columbia, he has also practiced in New Brunswick where he also served on the Atlantic Planners Institute. Mr. Savoie has extensive experience in municipal planning at the small and medium scales in rural and suburban contexts where he has led numerous interactive public consultation processes. He has been fortunate to have contributed to the planning and evolution of Port Moody’s high density mixed-use developments in it is Municipal Town Centre.
