The PIBC Central North Chapter invites you to join us for an informative and engaging legal webinar on wind projects, mining, oil & gas pipelines. Presented by Timothy Luk and Julia Tikhonova of Young Anderson, this webinar will cover the role and authority of local governments in relation to these industrial projects.

Our Presenters:
Timothy Luk
Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Timothy (he/him) holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Alberta, and a Juris Doctor and Master's in Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia. Timothy was first called to the bar in Alberta (2012) and, prior to joining Young, Anderson, worked in private practice at a medium size firm in Edmonton, and as in-house counsel for a major national insurer. Timothy has appeared before provincial and superior courts in British Columbia and Alberta.
Julia Tikhonova
Julia joined Young Anderson as an associate in June of 2021, after completing her articles at a large regional firm. She maintains a broad municipal law practice. Julia received her law degree from the University of Victoria in 2020. Prior to law school, she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and Sociology at the University of British Columbia in 2017.
