Mark Albany, a member of the Songhees Nation, will lead a walking tour of his ancestral lands. This tour invites participants to look at Victoria from the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) point of view, and considers the facets of planning, reconciliation, inclusivity and multiculturalism. The tour begins beside the Mungo Martin Longhouse, (475 Belleville Street) and ends at Songhees Point.
REGISTRATION FOR THE WALKING TOUR IS REQUIRED. Please note, the walking tour includes stairs. Cost for walking tour: $5 PIBC Members and Candidates / $10 Non Members / Free for Students.
The tour will be followed by a gathering at Ferris' Oyster Bar Garden Patio ( 536 A Yates Street) starting at 4pm onwards. Complimentary appetizers will be provided. This social event is free and no registration is required. Venue is on the ground level and has one step that is easily traversed.
REGISTRATION TERMS: Registration requires payment in full to be confirmed. All event registrations are final. Unfortunately, refunds for cancellations are not available. However, substitutions of other individuals for a registration may be permitted up until the registration deadline.
