We are SO excited to announce that we are collaborating with Mark Albany of the Songhees Nation to host another Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) walking tour this fall. This tour will allow participants to explore Victoria from the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) point of view, learning about the land, culture, and the spirit of its people.
Mark Albany, a member of the Songhees Nation, will lead a walking tour of his ancestral lands. This tour invites participants to look at Victoria from the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) point of view, and considers the facets of planning, reconciliation, inclusivity and multiculturalism. The tour will begin beside the Mungo Martin Longhouse (475 Belleville Street), and will end at Songhees Point (50 Songhees Point).
REGISTRATION FOR THE WALKING TOUR IS REQUIRED AND SPACE IS LIMITED TO 16 PEOPLE.
Please note the walking tour includes stairs.
This event is eligible for 2.5 CPL credits.
