Planning Singapore: Learnings from the 2025 Field School
PIBC SCC / The Urban Planning Field School
November 6th 2025
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM PST

In May 2025, a group of 14 urban planners from across BC and Alberta participated in the Singapore Urban Planning Field School. Throughout the week, we met with local planners and activists within the areas of housing, redevelopment, sustainability and indigeneity. Our aim was to understand how Singapore is addressing many of the same challenges we face here in Canada, inspire our planning practices through a new lens, and to promote discussion between Canadian and Singaporean planners. This webinar aims to summarize many of our learnings and provide insight into the unique planning approach of the Singaporean city-state.
