This is an asynchronous course beginning September 11. This course is eligible for PIBC CPL credits.
Technological advances, laws and regulations are necessary for tackling climate change, but these won’t work without active engagement and acceptance by citizens. This course introduces the foundations of climate change communication and explores practices that break through persistent barriers to effectively talk about climate action with different audiences to motivate behaviour change. You will learn about narratives and storytelling, countering misinformation, and how to engage in climate conversations. By the end of this course, you will have the practical communication skills you need to motivate resistant stakeholders and engage in climate action in your organization and communities.
