The Opportunity

It is within this context that applications and nominations for the position of Senior Manager, Vancouver – a role that is well- suited for someone who is enlivened by the prospect of drawing from their knowledge sector wisdom to bring practical yet systematic solutions to client work.

Reporting to the Vancouver-based Partner, the incumbent will be a key member of the senior leadership team in driving numerous Nordicity engagements, including project management; data collection, analysis, and reporting; business development; and corporate development. They will also draw from their expertise as a skilled community builder to foster key external relationships to further advance Nordicity’s scope and reach of services.

The individual most likely to realize success in the role brings several years of consultancy or operational management experience in any of Nordicity’s public or private sector practice areas. The Senior Manager possesses strong written andverbal communication, relationship-building, and mentoring skills. Informed by best practices in anti-oppressive, intercultural approaches, they place emphasis in collaboration, client-service, and responsivity when interacting with a broad range of local and international parties. They must be a research-informed, global thinker, driven by both strategy and process in order to effectively drive forward a diverse client portfolio. A degree/diploma in a relevant field is sought (e.g., public policy, business management, economics, international development/policy/relations, urban planning, cultural policy, etc.), or the equivalent combination of education, professional certification, and professional work experience. Having working fluency in French and/or other languages would be an asset.
