Position Overview
The Sunshine Coast Regional District is currently inviting applications for the position of Senior Planner (Full-Time, Regular). We are looking for an experienced person to join our team! Under the general direction of the Manager, Planning and Development provides professional development control planning services, participates in providing professional land use policy planning services and related projects, and participates with the Manager, Planning and Development in providing advice to the Planning and Development Committee and other committees of the Board.  Supervises professional, technical, and support staff in providing planning services.
 
Compensation and Hours of Work
This is a bargaining unit position with a wage rate of $56.26 per hour, working 35 hours per week. Annual vacation starts at 4%, increasing to 6% after a four-month probationary period, and includes 13 paid statutory holidays (after 30 days of employment). After passing probation, you will then receive a full benefit package that includes extended health and dental coverage, paid sick leave, family responsibility leave, eyewear, eye exams, group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability benefits, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP). And finally, all SCRD employees have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) upon hire, for free, confidential counselling services.
