An exciting opportunity exists to join the City of Kamloops’ Transportation team in a Permanent, Full-Time Transportation Planner position! This position is responsible for overseeing transit planning and operations, transportation-related sustainability initiatives, Active Transportation Planning and Transportation Demand Management (TDM) initiatives. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
1. Completion of a University degree in Planning with a concentration in Transportation or Transit Planning.
2. Minimum three years of experience in transportation or transit planning.
 

For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. 

A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position. This is a CUPE local 900 position. This position will remain open until filled. The posting may close anytime after June 04,2024 if a qualified candidate is found.

Hourly Rate:
 $48.51 

Hours & Days of Work:
Monday to Friday: 
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (summer) 
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (winter) 

Hours per Week: 
35
