Registration is now open for the PIBC Okanagan Interior Chapter and CITE BC Interior Section’s joint Fall Conference on Friday, October 25th, 2024 in Penticton!
This year's conference theme is “A New Era of Housing Legislation” in the BC Interior and will focus on changes to provincial legislation regarding housing and parking near transit oriented areas and throughout BC. This conference will host speakers from both planning and transportation engineering fields from public, private, and research sectors, and will also include a tour hosted by the City of Penticton featuring their strides to incorporating micromobility in urban areas.
Sub-themes include:
- Changes to Parking Regulation and the Impacts on Housing Development
- Planning and Transportation policy and regulatory considerations
- Usage of Models to measure impacts from Housing Prices to Transportation across the Okanagan and more!
Lunch is included and will be catered by local vendors, and a social sponsored by CTS at their Summerland branch to celebrate their 5th year in the Okanagan will be held after the conference featuring drinks and appetizers from local restaurants.

Option for registrants to choose one of two technical tours (limiting each tour to 30 participants).
- Walking Tour – 30 participants
- Bike/Scooter Tour – 30 participants (registrants should have an option to choose an bike/scooter preference)
