Introduction to Transportation Engineering (CITY111)
May 7-May 28 | 4 evenings online
Instructor: Dan Ross
 Eligible for PIBC CPL units

Explore the basic challenges and principles of transportation engineering and the role of engineers in developing sustainable cities. This introductory course will survey the responsibilities, decision-making and implementation processes involved in transportation engineering and how it integrates the "hard" and the "soft" sciences. Examining the field's most common tools and applications, you'll observe how decisions are made, and as a result, you'll learn how to work more effectively with engineering colleagues to support the building of better cities and transportation systems.

Note: If you're new to the field of transportation planning, you should take Transportation Planning Foundations (CITY103) before taking this course.
