Housing Forward: 2026 Prairies Affordable Housing Summit is a prairie-wide convening focused on advancing affordable housing delivery through alignment, knowledge sharing, and capacity building across the sector.
Building on momentum from a one-day Affordable Housing Symposium held in November 2025, this Summit responds directly to what practitioners, policymakers, Indigenous housing leaders, non-profits, developers, and funders identified as the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing affordable housing today. Insights from that session shaped the Summit’s core themes, program streams, and speaker selection.
The Summit will bring together housing leaders from across western Canada to explore practical solutions, emerging best practices, and collaborative approaches that support the delivery of affordable, sustainable, accessible, and culturally appropriate housing.
The summit program will feature a keynote addresses by:
- Dr. Carolyn Whitzman – Housing Policy Researcher and Author
- Andrea Nemtin – CEO, Social Innovation Canada
- And a Fireside Chat with Don Iveson & David Miller
Panels and sessions exploring partnership models, construction innovation, land and funding strategies, organizational capacity building, and approaches to measuring impact across the housing system. Visit the Housing Forward Summit website for more information.
