The PIBC Okanagan Interior Chapter is pleased to partner with the Westbank First Nation to host this unique Indigenous-led walking tour in Kelowna.
The Westbank First Nation aims to educate through a uniquely sqilxʷ perspective that fosters cultural awareness of the syilx nation. The Land Tour is intended to ignite a well-rounded conversation about the significance of plant life and traditional uses of the land. During the Tour, you may learn about the land, traditional tools and dwellings, cultural practices, storytelling, the impact of colonization, Westbank First Nation’s self-government, and more!
As this event is mostly outside, please come dressed for the weather (possible considerations include rain gear, sun hat, water bottle).
