LEES+Associates is seeking a qualified individual to join our parks, recreation and trails planning and public engagement team in our Vancouver office. In this role, you will support projects related to parks, recreation, and trails planning, primarily for municipal and Indigenous clients across Canada. Projects range from master plans, strategic plans, and special topics around parkland acquisition, needs assessments, service delivery, and policies. Projects reflect current trends such as climate change resilience, accessibility, and community partnerships. Engagement with staff, elected officials, interest groups, and the public is a critical piece of all our projects.
This position is for a creative, self-directed individual with a passion for public parks, recreation, and trails, interested in learning and growing into a leader in a collaborative, team environment.
Qualifications:
- Entry level to 5 years of professional experience
- Post-Secondary Degree from a recognized Landscape Architecture or Planning program
- Demonstrated report writing, research, and analysis skills
- Demonstrated time and task management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work at the city-wide and regional scale
- Experience and/or training in IAP2 methods of public engagement is an asset
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience, along with a suite of additional benefits.
