The City of Delta is looking for a full-time Planner 1 with a development planning focus in the Development Department.  The successful candidate is expected to undertake professional planning work involving the processing of land use applications such as development permits and zoning amendments, coordinating responses from multiple departments through the organization on development files, and responding to customer inquiries on a range of topics relating to development planning and land use.

In addition to a degree in Planning or a related discipline, the successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of community planning principles, practices, techniques and methods.  We are looking for candidates with direct experience in plan review and development application processes, and with excellent report writing and communication skills.

The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $49.65 - $58.66per hour (commensurate with experience) and an excellent benefits package including Municipal Pension Plan as well as an earned-days-off system.
