The District of Saanich has been a climate action leader for many years. In 2019 the District declared a climate emergency, shortly followed by the approval of an ambitious and award-winning Climate Plan. The position will manage consultants, establish and manage project teams, develop and manage budgets, and potentially secure grants (if applicable).

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working on climate action for a local government. The position will work collaboratively with a wide range of fantastic internal and external stakeholders, providing analysis, technical expertise, advice and guidance to senior staff, municipal departments, community groups and the public. You would be joining an incredible, passionate and highly successful sustainability team with access to strong, well-established regional, provincial and national networks.

Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca and outlines the required qualifications. In addition to the interview process, testing will also be conducted. Only those under consideration will be contacted.

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $54.44 per hour and an excellent benefits package. Please apply by 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, quoting competition 25150.
