We are pleased to announce the latest joint CPTED conference of the Canadian and USA ICA Chapters, hosted in Calgary, Alberta. (Eligible for PIBC CPL units.)
This international gathering will bring together CPTED practitioners, researchers, planners, police, designers, policy makers, and community leaders to explore how CPTED continues to evolve—and how it can make a meaningful difference in complex and rapidly changing urban environments.
Call for Presentations ends March 30th!
CPTED-PCAM Canada and CPTED USA Chapters of the International CPTED Association are delighted to release this formal Call for Presentations at the 2026 joint Conference.
Researchers and practitioners are encouraged to submit innovative, applied, and forward‑looking CPTED work aligned with the conference theme: CPTED – Improving the Quality of Life Through Design.
The 2026 International CPTED Conference in Calgary is calling for bold, original, and practice-driven presentations that push the field forward. We are seeking the latest developments in CPTED, from artificial intelligence, and ethical technology, to community-led prevention, Indigenous and culturally grounded practice, third places, climate-responsive design, public health approaches to safety, and the future of policing and urban design.
If your work challenges assumptions, bridges disciplines, or offers practical lessons for safer and more livable communities, we want to hear from you.
Submit your proposal by March 30, 2026. Please download the template for all submissions from our new website: https://icacanusa.com and send it to: info@icacanusa.com
