The Barcelona Urban Planning Field School is an immersive experience focused on how planning and design in Barcelona have responded to changes in geographic, climatic and socio-cultural conditions, and how we can relate lessons learned to planning work here in British Columbia.
The program is organized by UBC SCARP Lecturer Erick Villagomez and PIBC Member, Devon Harlos. The 5-day program will provide planners with a unique professional development opportunity, expanding our professional toolkits and promoting cross-pollination between planners internationally. Activities will include a Superblock Masterclass with former Chief Architect of Barcelona, walking tours delving into current and historical planning events, socials, and more!
Registration opens on January 19th, 2024 and closes on January 29th, 2024. Registrations are taken on a first come first serve basis with a capacity of 20 participants.
