Creating Healthy and Safe Communities
PIBC Vancouver Island South Chapter
September 19th 2019
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST
CPL Units: 5

How we plan and design our communities has a direct influence on our health and perceptions of safety. This FREE 1 day interactive workshop (qualifies for 5.0 PIBC CPD learning units) will help you see the relationships between planning, design, and public health illustrated through examples on transportation, climate change, community safety, and natural environments.

This hands-on workshop will showcase innovative case studies, using data, evidence, and tools to support the development of healthy public policy.   Your participation will assist with the development of a suite of indicators to help municipalities in their work creating healthy and safe communities. Get this into your calendars ASAP, space is limited.
