In light of recent Provincial housing policy changes and the push for more density, communities are adopting intensification strategies to encourage a wider range of housing types, especially near transit. As a result of ambitious housing targets, challenges relating to community health are emerging, as well as the need for tools that foster local resiliency and retain ‘a sense of place’.
More than ever before, there is an urgency to pay attention to the health of our communities, both in form and function. Good design addresses the user’s needs and context. Join our presenters as they provide their insight on balancing density, good design and community health.
