A Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Planning Institute of British Columbia (PIBC) will be held as follows:

When:  Friday November 25th, 2016 at 9:00 am (Pacific)

Where:  Hastings Room, Main Floor, Oceanic Plaza,

              1035 West Pender St., Vancouver, BC

The purpose of the Special General Meeting is to give consideration to two Special Resolutions related to the Institute’s required transition under and compliance with the new Societies Act of British Columbia, which comes into effect as of November 28th, 2016.

The two proposed Special Resolutions to be considered relate to: the addition of a clause to the Institute’s constitution to confirm the Institute’s status as a member funded society as provided for in the new Act; and a number of proposed amendments to the Institute’s bylaws designed to ensure compliance with the new Act.
