We are pleased to announce that we are teaming up with Natural Resources Canada to host an educational workshop on understanding earthquake risks and hazards in Canada. The workshop will include:

• A tour of the Pacific Geoscience Centre;
• Overview of the Geological Survey of Canada’s earthquake research;
• Information on earthquake history and hazards;
• Introduction to the earthquake early waring system; and,
• Earthquake risk data for planners.

The workshop will be facilitated by the following speakers:

• Malaika Ulmi, Program Manager, Natural Resources Canada
• Dr. John Cassidy, Senior Research Scientist, Natural Resources Canada
• Alison Bird, Seismologist, Natural Resources Canada
