We are pleased to announce that we are teaming up with Natural Resources Canada to host an educational workshop on understanding earthquake risks and hazards in Canada. The workshop will include:
- A tour of the Pacific Geoscience Centre;
- Overview of the Geological Survey of Canada’s earthquake research;
- Information on earthquake history and hazards;
- Introduction to the earthquake early waring system; and,
- Earthquake risk data for planners.
The workshop will be facilitated by the following speakers:
- Malaika Ulmi, Program Manager, Natural Resources Canada
- Dr. John Cassidy, Senior Research Scientist, Natural Resources Canada
- Alison Bird, Seismologist, Natural Resources Canada
