PIBC is partnering with Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation (CMHC), BC Housing and community organizations to present models of affordable and accessible age-friendly, culturally sensitive, and family housing. We will look at new federal programs that promote the above housing objectives and explore community approaches to solving housing gaps. Learn about a number of important programs that work to promote affordability, accessibility, inclusivity and overall healthier and safer communities. Join James Forsyth, BC Housing’s Director of Regional Development for the Lower Mainland/Vancouver Coastal Region, who will be presenting innovative case studies of several new and recent development projects.

As a Director of Regional Development at BC Housing, James is responsible for planning and executing projects and managing a team of Development Managers, Project Technologists and Team Assistants that deliver new developments, strategic purchases, and major renovations projects for residential and commercial properties across the Province of British Columbia. He works collaboratively with project sponsors and partners, including societies, First Nations, municipalities, Indigenous housing providers, private sector developers, industry specialists, contractors, other government ministries and agencies in achieving project and program objectives.
-- Elizabeth Tang, Specialist, Outreach + Project Development, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)
Elizabeth Tang is Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) Outreach and Project Development Specialist in BC. She is focused on engaging with professionals in the housing industry, academics, and provincial and municipal governments to ensure access to the latest and most relevant housing information from CMHC. Elizabeth has been with CMHC since 2006. Prior to working at CMHC, Elizabeth was Trade Commissioner, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
